The Apocryphal

Description

This album is probably what you could call the final battle with the old Cowboys… One can also look upon it as a summary of what Dark Side Cowboys have been doing during their first three years of existance, before the album was released. The Apocryphal is made like the soundtrack to a movie, dealing with the theme of “abuse of messages” and it strives to reach other depths within the listener than the previous release Pure Hearts EP. No singles were released from this album but some years after its appearance, DSC chose to include “Tears For You” as a built in single on the extended CDM Most. Hardcore Cowboy-fans might find it interesting to know that this album has also been officially released as a cassette in Poland.

Pure Hearts EP

Description

The first official CD is the Pure Hearts EP. It was designed towards the always interesting topics love and friendship and carries some of the most popular songs throughout DSC’s history. It starts off with “Bloodred Moon”, a song that nowadays has become named a swedish “goth-classic”. But the song has also gained ground on the international scene, released on several compilations and also hitting top 5 on the South African alternative radio chart. Flooding on through “Red Day”, another of the Cowboys’ hits can be found in “UnfortuNataly”. This song came to be re-recorded and once again released in 1998, then in form of a single taken from the album High (1999).

Shots & Cuts

Description

Shots & Cuts give the listener a summary of what the Cowboys were up to on stage during 1993-94. Included are live-tracks from various performances, from the worst ones that never should have been done in the first place, to some better ones. Found within are exclusive tracks and versions that practically never can be done again… This is the fifth and final part in the Ars Moriensis story, the epilogue that ends with a lot of questions, perhaps never to be answered.

Demon

Description

Demon is the fourth part in the Ars Moriensis epos, and probably the most deadly part too… Designed as a comedy this piece of music will thrill the listener and send shivers down your spines. One can hear a mixture of sanity and insanity, good and bad, light and darkness, and there is no way out. The demotape is somewhat equal to Rare & Obscure and it was only made in 25 copies (guess if they sold out…). On this demo one can find early demoversions among with exclusive tracks and covers. DSC fear no limits.

The Hall Of Pain

Description

The Ars Moriensis was the start of the Dark Side Cowboys’ epos with the same name, devided into five parts, and here we have reached part III – The Hall of Pain. This demo was, like Ars Moriensis, made in 100 numbered copies plus another 100 promocopies. This is the recording that brought DSC outside the borders of their homecountry and musically one can follow the development.

On this album size one can follow the Cowboys in the battle between the good and the bad side… in the Hall of Pain.
