Description

Beyond is a 11-track, 72 min, thematic album, released on April 25, 2024. The album dives into the everlasting questions of life and death and takes you on a journey beyond… It begins with the arrival of the Undertaker, takes the listener through the process of loss, disbelief, sadness and grief to reaching out to inner peace and ends with solace.

The soundscapes reflect the mood of each part of the journey and as always DSC are exploring new musical territories. On this album there are also many additional riders contributing to the songs, for example The Witchdoctor (aka Lord Gravehill from Two Witches!) on cellos. The single The Undertaker has been rearranged by Scavenger John (aka J. Strauss from Morlocks) for the album, featuring a bombastic symphonic orchestra arrangement.

The performance was recorded live September 3, 2022 at Kulturcentrum, Sandviken. This exclusive Blu-ray release features the full performance with additional outro, mid-scenes and a 16 page booklet with pictures and lyrics!

The concert features a total of 11 songs and an over 1 hour runtime! Several of the songs had never before been performed live.

Solstice is a 7-track, 74 min, concept album released on december 21:st 2020, at the time of the hibernal solstice. The album was conceived during the pandemic of 2020 and recorded with all the cowboys in isolation, separated across Sweden.

The songs follow the solar year, starting with the hibernal solstice, going through the first equinox into summer, through a solar eclipse, then into autumn and ends in hibernation, so it is a never ending story. This serves as metaphores and each listener can find their own story emerging…

Reborn is the first official live album from the Dark Side Cowboys. It was recorded live at Alternativfesten, Sandviken on November 10, 2018 along with a series of music videos to follow the release.

It features the entire concert, a total of 11 tracks. Most of the songs are from the previous studio album “Return”, but there are also some of the old classics, like “Bloodred Moon” and “Loving You”.

Dark Side Cowboys have been known to be a very good live band and these recordings shows an example of just how good the band can be. Even though many of the songs are performed live with a very similar sound as the original studio recordings it also gives the songs new dimensions and variations.

Return is the first studio album with new songs from Dark Side Cowboys since 2003.
