Solstice has arrived!
The new album Solstice from Dark Side Cowboys has arrived! It is available in a limited edition digipak CD and of course also out on online platforms such as Spotify, i-tunes and Youtube. The Spotify versions include special backgrounds for the mobile apps and the Youtube version include video footage to the songs.
Solstice – to be released December 21
On december 21:st we will reach the winter solstice, or the hibernal solstice as it’s also called, a time when one part of the earth experience the longest days of the year, a time of reflection and a time of rebirth as days will start to get longer. This is the time when Dark Side Cowboys choose to deliver the new album “Solstice”, an album conceived in isolation during the pandemic. Solstice
Description
Solstice is a 7-track, 74 min, concept album released on december 21:st 2020, at the time of the hibernal solstice. The album was conceived during the pandemic of 2020 and recorded with all the cowboys in isolation, separated across Sweden.
The songs follow the solar year, starting with the hibernal solstice, going through the first equinox into summer, through a solar eclipse, then into autumn and ends in hibernation, so it is a never ending story. This serves as metaphores and each listener can find their own story emerging…

You did not see this one coming, right? Dark Side Cowboys deliver the first song from the forthcoming thematic release ”Solstice” as we now (UTC) pass the solstice.
The longest day of the year and one of the turning points of the solar year is a time of celebration to many, so what could be better than a brand new song, along with the announcement of a new release!
Summer Solstice is the middle piece of the coming release that will contain a total of 7 new songs and have a total length of approx. 74 minutes.
There will be more info on this in a near future but in the meantime enjoy the new song that will only be released on the official Dark Side Cowboys Youtube-channel for now.
