On March 1, 2026, Johan Strauss – a.k.a. Scavenger John of Dark Side Cowboys – a.k.a. J. Strauss of Morlocks – passed away. Words are not enough to express our feelings at this point. Our thoughts go to Johan’s family and many friends.
Friday, March 20, Dark Side Cowboys attended the funeral and memorial service that followed, held at Pustervik, Gothenburg, Sweden. DSC gave a special performance in shape of an acoustic version of “Dust”, in honour of the Scavenger.
Johan will be missed. We will remember and the energy and passion he gave every to performance, to every piece of music, to every interaction, every day.
We will see you on the other side, Scavenger John!
